One person dies after crash between van and truck in Waikato

One person has died after a crash between a truck and van in the Waikato.

Two others were seriously injured in the crash on Piako Road in Morrinsville.

Three ambulances and two fire trucks were sent to the scene at just after 8am.

The two people who suffered serious injuries have been transported to Waikato Hospital.

The fatal crash adds to a horror couple of days on New Zealand roads after five people died in accidents yesterday .
