One person dead following serious crash in New Plymouth

One person has died following a serious crash in New Plymouth this afternoon.

Two people were injured following the incident on Mountain Road, in Inglewood.

The road will be closed for some time and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

Diversions are in place.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
