One person dead after fire at boarding house in Auckland's Otahuhu

One person died in the blaze.

One person has died after a building fire at a boarding house in Otahuhu, Auckland.

Fire and Emergency NZ confirmed the fatality to 1 NEWS.

They say they were alerted to the fire at 5:45pm at the three-storey building.

The blaze, on the second floor of the building is now extinguished.
