There is one new Covid-19 case in managed isolation to report in New Zealand today, according to the Ministry of Health.
There are no new cases in the community today.
Today’s new case is a person who arrived from Jordan via Dubai on November 26. They are now in Auckland's quarantine facility.
Two previously reported cases are now considered to have recovered, bringing New Zealand's total number of active cases to 69.
One case being added to New Zealand’s total case numbers today is a member of the 53-man Pakistan Cricket squad reported by the Ministry yesterday.
Seven members of the cricket squad have tested positive since their arrival in New Zealand, including six members at day one testing, and one at day three testing, the Health Ministry said today in a statement.
Serology (blood) testing has since identified two of the original six positive cases as historic cases and are therefore not infectious.
A further 11 members of the squad have returned positive serology after blood and routine PCR testing was carried out for the virus, indicating previous historic infections.
The country's total number of confirmed cases is now 1696.
The NZ COVID Tracer app now has 2,387,000 registered users. Poster scans have reached 129,010,201 and users have created 5,229,595 manual diary entries.
