One injured as smoke reported in Invercargill substation

One person has been injured at the Waikiwi Substation in Invercargill following reports of smoke in the building. 

Fire crews in two appliances attended the scene on Myers Street just after midday. 

Southern Ambulance says one person was assessed and had moderate injuries.

The Waikiwi Substation is owned by the Power Company LTD and is managed by PowerNet.
