One dead, another seriously injured in head-on-collision near Gore

Two helicopters are en route to a fatal crash in Gore, Southland.

Emergency services were called to a head-on-collision on Old Coach Road, Otaraia, at 11am. 

One person has died and another person is in a serious condition.

State Highway 93 is expected to be closed for most the afternoon. The alternative route is via State Highway 1.
