One person has died following a single car crash in Palmerston North this morning.
Police said in a statement they were called to the crash just before 7am with initial reports suggesting someone was seriously injured.
There were no other people in the car when it crashed on Cardiff Street in Awapuni, they said.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the incident and the road is likely to remain closed for some time.
