As NZ's long winter winds down, psychologist gives advice on beating the rainy day blues

It feels like we have been taking a pelting around the country recently.

It feels like we've been taking a pelting the last two months - constant, relentless rain right around the country.

In fact, going back to July 1, there have been 63 out of 71 days that can be classed as rain days in Auckland alone.

But what affect does that precipitation have on our mood?

Registered clinical psychologist at Umbrella Wellbeing Jacqui Maguire appeared on Seven Sharp to explain - and give advice on how to beat the rainy day blues - in the video above.
