Nurses return to mediation in another attempt to avoid impending strikes

June 25, 2018

Nurses will walk off the job twice next month, if they don't reach an agreement with District Health Boards.

Nurses around New Zealand will head back to mediation with District Health Boards today.

It comes after the announcement last week of a possible national strike, scheduled to happen on July 5 and 12.

It follows the rejection of the largest pay offer in more than a decade.

The New Zealand Nurses' Organisation say the mediation is the last attempt to resolve the dispute and stop the strike action.
