Numerous flights in and out of Christchurch cancelled due to heavy fog

Heavy fog has forced numerous flights arriving and departing Christchurch Airport this morning to be either cancelled or delayed.

As of 8.50am today the airport's website listed 14 cancelled domestic flights.

Spokesperson for the airport, Yvonne Demsen, says airlines are making decisions about their flights as a result of the fog.

The airport's advising people to check with their airlines for update to flight information.
