A Northland share milker has been caught on camera allegedly abusing his dairy cows.
The disturbing images, provided by animal welfare group Farmwatch, show cows being repeatedly beaten with a steel pipe.
Earlier investigations into the share milker had been dropped by the Ministry for Primary Industries due to lack of evidence.
However, MPI now says it's launched an investigation after being given the footage last week.
