No charges over death of girl struck while cycling home from school in Taranaki

Emma Warren, who died in a collision with a truck in Inglewood, loved bikes and teddy bears and her dad is a motorcyclist.

No charges will be laid over the death of a seven-year-old girl who died after being struck by a truck while riding her bike home from school in Taranaki in September.

Emma Warren was struck by a truck on September 27 in Inglewood and subsequently died.

Police say the Serious Crash Unit have completed their investigation into the crash and no criminal charges will be laid.

"The investigation has found no culpability on the driver or the company that owned the heavy motor vehicle involved in the collision," Police say.

Emma's death has been referred to the coroner.
