Footage has emerged of Friday's terror attack from outside a Christchurch motel.
Police are investigating the CCTV from outside a motel just metres down the road from the Al Noor Mosque, where one of the terror attacks that left 50 dead took place.
"Look, I've seen that footage myself, it's really disturbing," Police Commissioner Mike Bush told 1 NEWS.
The footage captures the alleged gunman in the middle of his deadly rampage.
In the video, bystanders can be seen oblivious to the chaos unfolding around them.
Two men, believed to be a father and son, are heading towards the Al Noor Mosque just 300 metres up the road.
At one point in the video, the shooter stops his vehicle and honks the horn. One man turns around and shots are then fired at the men.
One of the men was among the injured treated in Christchurch Hospital that afternoon.
The motel owners didn't want to talk today - but did share the video with police.
"It's something that will be presented at trial and that's the appropriate place and the appropriate audience for such CCTV evidence," Commissioner Bush says of the footage.
