Seven Sharp talks with the boss of Waitomo Group.

Fuel has never been more expensive, and we're all feeling it in the back pocket.

Now, some Kiwi battlers are finding success by undercutting the big guys and saving you cash.

The family-owned company Waitomo Group has been delivering fuel to farms and businesses for over 70 years, and now they're expanding, with 30 no-frills retail sites already set up between between the Bay of Islands and Foxton.

They recently broke the $2 barrier offering motorists petrol at $1.99 per litre.

Owner Jimmy Ormsby even gets his hands dirty by helping to pump gas on the forecourt.
