Some butchers are making sausages with only 30 per cent meat.

The humble Kiwi sausage has received a face-lift.

No longer are bangers filled with meat, meat and more meat.

In fact, some butchers are making sausages with only 30 per cent meat called flexitarian sausages.

Seven Sharp reporter Tamati Rimene-Sproat went to meet a butcher on the forefront of change and put his snags to the test in the video above.
