New developments in rebuild of earthquake-ruined Christchurch Cathedral

May 2, 2019
The earthquake damaged Christchurch Cathedral.

More than eight years after the Christchurch earthquakes, the Christchurch Cathedral rebuild has reached a milestone with the appointment of new engineers and architects.

Holmes Consulting Ltd will be the engineers, working alongside Warren and Mahoney Architects in the rebuild of the Anglican Cathedral.

Warren and Mahoney has already played a vital role in the city's rebuild by helping with the Metro Sports Facility, Justice Precinct and Convention Centre.

It's hoped design work on stabilisation will be finished by the end of the year.
