Mum who survived car crash to be reunited with woman who came to her and her baby's aid after Facebook post

It all went horribly wrong for Chyna Watson near Pirongia early in 2018.

She was told she could've been killed after her car slammed into a bank near Pirongia and burst into flames.

Now, almost a year later Chyna Watson is desperately trying to track down those who came to her aid.

"One of the things I was told was this is probably where I was supposed to die," Ms Watson said of the crash on April 24, 2018.

Her Suzuki Alto slammed into a bank, flipping and bursting into flames with her 10-month-old baby in the back seat.

"I saw the flames they were under my bonnet so right in front of me.

"Luckily all the windows had smashed so I had to climb from the front seat out the boot and then reach through the boot to get my son out," Ms Watson recalls.

Two women witnessed the crash and rushed over to help, making sure emergency services arrived on the scene as fast as possible.

Ms Watson posted to Facebook in the hope of reuniting with her "two angels" to thank them in person.

Rebecca Stocker was one of the women who helped that day.

"I was just doing what anyone would do if they found someone in distress," she told 1 NEWS.

Ms Stocker's daughter saw Ms Watson's Facebook post and now the pair are set to meet for the first time since the incident, next Saturday.

Ms Watson hopes the other woman who comforted her that day will also be found.
