Motorcyclist killed following Auckland crash

One person has died following a crash in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington last night.

The crash occurred on the Ellerslie-Panmure Highway just before 11.30pm when a car and motorcycle collided.

The motorcyclist was critically injured and taken to hospital where he later died.

The driver of the car was not seriously injured.

The Serious Crash Unit and police are looking into the cause of the crash.
