Motorcyclist dies following crash near Taupo

A motorcyclist who crashed near Lake Taupo yesterday afternoon has died.

The crash happened just before 2.30 yesterday on Whangamata Road, Kinloch when the motorbike collided with a car.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
