If you thought Auckland's heavy rain and stormy weather was never going to end, well, there is some respite.
The MetService forecast for Friday though until at least the end of next Tuesday is glorious vitamin D - yes, it's sun, and lots of it.
While there's the possibility of some showers tomorrow, temperatures are still forecast to hit 20, before rising to a sunny 21 degrees on Saturday and an even sunnier 23 degrees on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
All of which comes after a very wet week that included Auckland's wettest December hour on record this past Tuesday, when the region suffered through an electrical downpour that also brought with it over 800 lightning strikes, some of which were caught on video and one - which wasn't videoed - that sadly took out a Waikato farmer's cows.
So, make the most of the next five days because from next Wednesday, December 12, it will be warm and wet with not a lot of wind to blow it away, right through until Christmas.
