Millions reportedly spent to bring New Zealand's first Sephora store to Auckland

April 4, 2019

New Zealand could be getting it's first Sephora, with reports work is set to get underway on a three-storey Auckland site.

In the next couple of weeks work is expected to start on a multi-million dollar store on Queen Street, according to the New Zealand Herald.

The store is rumoured to cost more than $5 million and will "definitely stick out", a source told the publication.

The Herald also understands the French beauty giant wants the store to be completed within a matter of months, which means it will likely be open in time for the Christmas rush.

Sephora has an online store for New Zealand customers, but the company has previously remained tight-lipped on bringing a physical store to the country.
