Experts here say the increase in greenhouse gases can be linked to rising temperatures. 

To stay below the two degree Paris limit, the world needs to be carbon free within 50 years. 

Fiji is the first small island nation to chair UN climate change negotiations this week.

The findings were released to coincide with the start of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Germany. 

Fiji is the first small island nation to chair the meeting and wants to draw attention to the impacts from global warming.

Delegates from almost 200 countries will work on a detailed 'rule book' to help meet the Paris targets.
