A body has been removed from a halfway house on Auckland’s Great North Road.

A man's body has been removed from a boarding in the Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn this afternoon.

Police located the body at the address in Great North Rd earlier today, said Detective Sergeant Greg Brand of the Auckland City Crime Squad.

Mr Brand said the matter today is not thought to be suspicious and the death will be referred to the coroner.

Last month the bodies of an Auckland woman reported missing, Tania Ellwood, and Timothy Kerr Hamilton, also of Auckland, were found at another boarding house in Grey Lynn, Dryden Lodge.

Police referred their deaths to the coroner.
