Man winched to safety after canyoning accident near Raglan

March 22, 2018

A man was winched from the bottom of a waterfall near Raglan yesterday evening after he broke his ankle while canyoning.

An Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust helicopter was sent out because he was far away from any roads.

The man, in his 30s, was winched up to helicopter and was taken to Waikato Hospital.
