Man rushed to hospital in critical condition after workplace accident in Christchurch

The man is believed to have been unloading a container at CDK Stone.

A man's been rushed to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition, after a workplace accident in the Christchurch suburb of Riccarton.

Police, fire and ambulance responded around 10.30am.

Witnesses have told 1 NEWS it appears the man was unloading a container at CDK Stone.

Staff at the scene were visibly distressed. Its company website says it's one of the largest suppliers of natural stone products in New Zealand.
