Police are appealing to members of the public to help identify a man involved in a firearms incident in the Auckland suburb of Glen Innes this morning.
Police say a shot was fired at a vehicle on Paddington Street, shattering the rear window, at 10.30am today.
Police are urgently searching for the man and would like to hear from any members of the public who may recognise him or know of his whereabouts.
The unidentified man is believed to have been driving a white 2013 Toyota Rav 4 SUV.
He is said to be dangerous and should not be approached.
