Man in serious condition after being stabbed in Christchurch

A man is in a serious but stable condition in Christchurch Hospital after being stabbed early this morning.

Police were called to a residential address on Olliviers Road in Phillipstown around 2:30am.

One man was found with stab wounds to his leg at the scene.

A second man is assisting police with enquires.

Police say the parties are known to each other.
