A man is in a serious condition after falling from his horse and suffering a non-fatal drowning this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Ocean View beach just outside of Dunedin shortly after 1:30pm this afternoon, to calls of an injured and unconscious man.
He has since been taken to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries.
It is thought the man was pulled from the sea by a member of the public and given CPR before medics arrived.
