Man drowns while swimming in Riwaka River near Motueka

November 3, 2019

A man has drowned while swimming in the Riwaka River near Motueka this evening.

Police were alerted at about 5.40pm that the man had got into difficuty in the river at the north end of Riwaka Valley Road.

Police say the death will be referred to the coroner.
