A homicide investigation has been launched after a man seriously assaulted in Māngere, South Auckland, died in hospital.
He was left fighting for his life following the alleged attack on Saturday.
Two men, aged 20 and 23, have already been charged and police are seeking a third person.
Police have spoken to a number of people about the attack, but are still wanting to hear from anyone who may have information.
Police say it was an isolated incident.
