Man charged over aggravated robbery of Rotorua BP service station

A man has been charged over the aggravated robbery of a BP service station in Rotorua last month.

Police executed several search warrants this morning over the robbery of the Te Ngae Road BP on December 10.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in Rotorua District Court on January 10. 

A second man, aged 39, will also appear on unrelated matters.

Police say a firearm used in the robbery has not been recovered and police inquiries are continuing. 

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Lynmore Junction and Isles Road areas at about 2am on December 10.
