A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 34-year-old woman in South Auckland last night.

Police were called to a property on Noble Court, Flat Bush shortly after 10pm following reports a woman had been attacked.

The woman was found unconscious with multiple serious wounds when police arrived, Detective Inspector Tofilau Faa Va'aelua said.

The woman was transported to Middlemore Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
