Man accused of indecent assault at Labour youth camp appears in court

The political party says it supports the police’s decision to lay charges.

The man accused of indecent assault after a Labour Party youth camp appeared in the Auckland District Court today.



The 20-year-old man faced six charges of indecent assault, against four complainants.

He denied all charges.

All six offences are alleged to have taken place in Waihi on February 10 and 11, this year. 

The man was granted interim name suppression.

He is seeking trial by jury.
