Man, 18, charged with possessing objectionable material relating to Christchurch terrorist attack granted bail

An 18-year-old man charged with possessing objectionable material relating to the Christchurch terrorist attack has been granted electronically monitored bail.

He is also charged with behaving in a threatening manner.

He is yet to enter any pleas.

His bail conditions include not going within 200m of a mosque, church or place of worship. He is also only allowed access to the internet under parental supervision and must have no contact with associates.

The man is one of six charged with possessing or distributing the objectionable material. All have interim name suppression.

The 18-year-old will reappear in the Christchurch District Court on May 13.
