Two armed robberies yesterday in Christchurch saw a machete brandished in one, and a gun brandished in another.

Police are investigating the two robberies.
The first occurred at the Barrington TAB at 6:55pm.
A young male with his face covered entered the TAB armed with what's believed to be a machete.
He left on foot towards Milton Street, with a quantity of cash.
The second robbery was at the Stanmore Road Subway around 7:40pm.
A Caucasian male entered the store, said he had a gun and demanded money. He made off with a quantity of cash.
