Kiwi entertainer Chic Littlewood has died in Auckland, aged 84.
The British-born entertainer arrived in New Zealand with his wife and two sons in 1964 and went onto star in afternoon children's' shows Chicaboom and Chic Chat during the 1970s and 1980s.
He also starred on Shortland Street during the mid-1990s as well as appearing in Mercy Peak and Hercules.
NZ On Screen reports he was "overjoyed" to be given a part as a security guard in Peter Jackson's King Kong.
Mr Littlewood is believed to have suffered from a long illness.
He will be farewelled at a funeral on Friday.
