Large slip closes section of central North Island's State Highway 32 for two weeks

A large slip has closed a section of central North Island's State Highway 32 for two weeks.

The NZ Transport Agency sent out a tweet today showing a picture of the slip this afternoon.

"Due to a large slip and subsequent dropout a section of #SH32 in Waihaha (between Whakamaru and Kuratau) is likely to be CLOSED for about two weeks," the tweet reads.

A detour route is available in which motorists can use State Highway 41 and State Highway 1.
