Large blaze rips through 13,000 hectares in Te Anau after firefighters battle for two-days

Six helicopters and ground crews managed to contain the fire.

An out of control burn-off from a neighbouring farm is said to be to blame for a a fire which ripped through 13,000 acres of conservation land.

The large fire threatened a nearby radio repeater.

No one was injured. 

After two days of battling the fire it is now under control.
