Labour leader Jacinda Ardern and Prime Minister Bill English hitting the campaign trail




Prime Minister Bill English and Labour leader Jacinda Ardern are both hitting the campaign trail today at opposite ends of the country.

Mr English will be attending various venues around the Nelson region this morning.

He will visit Talley Group Post Office in Port Motueka, a fruit packhouse in Golden Bay, then Health Post in Collingwood, before finishing up at Golden Bay Community Health Centre.

The Prime Minister will then address the media before concluding his schedule for the day.

Ms Ardern will begin her day of campaigning by visiting Selwyn Village Retirement Community in Point Chevalier, Auckland.

The Labour leader kicked off her campaign yesterday in her hometown of Morrinsville where she was greeted at her old college by a passionate haka and visited the local fish and chip shop where she used to work.

The Morrinsville College students were treated to visit from the new Labour Party leader.
