Kiwimeter reveals we're proud of our anti-nuclear stance and lifestyle

March 14, 2016

ONE News took Kiwimeter to the South Island and not all opinions were going one way.

More than 120,000 New Zealanders have completed the Kiwimeter online survey and they'll know if they're a patriot, egalitarian, globalist or a sceptic.

These are just some of the groups respondants fall into based on their views on issues like race relations to religion.

Latest results show Kiwis are very proud of our anti-nuclear stance and lifestyle.

Those indentifying as globalists and sceptics were close on issues of equality, history and influence.

But when it came to values, globalists were far apart from the sceptics.

"So we're seeing very sort of left wing responses from the globalist catergory," says Danny Osborne a psychology lecturer from Auckland University.

"Skeptics however seem to be a bit more removed from the political scene and as such their responses tend to be less ideologically driven than we see with the globalists."

Your responses help researchers get a snap-shot of how Kiwis view the world and how we view ourselves.
