An official warning has been issued tonight for Kiwis travelling to Bali over fears its biggest volcano could erupt at any moment.
A maximum level alert's in place for Mount Agung, which is just 70 kilometres from tourist hotspot Kuta.
Dozens of intensifying tremors have seen nearly 50,000 residents evacuated from the 12 kilometre danger zone.
Indonesia is still encouraging tourists to visit Bali, and with Australia's school holidays underway 10,000 are heading there every day.
"Maybe this has galvanised them, hearing each other's stories and knowing they are not alone," say the nurses behind the Facebook group, New Zealand, please hear our voice.
