A Commerce Commission investigation has led to charges being laid against health supplements seller GO Healthy New Zealand Ltd over allegedly misleading customers with claims its products were "made in New Zealand".

In a statement released today, the Commerce Commission says: "The charges relate to GO Healthy advertising that has appeared since 2014 across a variety of media, including posters and other in-store advertising materials, magazine advertisements, billboards, websites, social media, and national television ads."

The Commission says that GO Healthy advertised its products as being made in New Zealand when "key ingredients in the majority of its products were imported."

GO Healthy products are stocked by pharmacists and supplement stores throughout New Zealand.
