Former MP Katherine Rich will not seek reappointment to the Health Promotion Agency, the Health Minister has revealed.
Ms Rich recently courted controversy after a complaint was laid with the Auditor-General about Ms Rich's dual roles as the head of the Food and Grocery Council and as a member of the Health Promotion Agency following allegations made in Dirty Politics last year.
Ms Rich was cleared of any conflict of interest last month.
Speaking to Q+A this morning, Health Minister Jonathan Coleman announced Ms Rich would not be seeking reappointment for a "range of reasons".
Mr Coleman denies he told Ms Rich he wouldn't be reappointing her, saying she had told him her term was up and she would be moving on to other priorities.
"Katherine actually did a very good job, she's a person of integrity but she's decided she won't seek reappointment," he said.
