Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has met with an intergenerational play group helping alleviate loneliness in the elderly at a Masterton hospital today.
Ms Ardern went along to the session, held at Glenwood Masonic Hospital, to meet the new parents, babies and senior citizens involved in the Wairarapa Intergenerational Playgroup.
The group, founded by mother-of-two Lucy Adlam, hopes to stem the tide of loneliness in older people by encouraging new parents to visit retirement villages across the Wairarapa with their children.
