A huge group of stingrays has been captured travelling through the crystal clear waters off Auckland's Great Barrier Island in a set of stunning pictures.

Wendy Parsons was out on her paddle board around 9.30am today in Tryphena Harbour when she spotted the massive group of stingrays.

She told her friend Carol Comer that there were "three groups of about 40 stingrays in each group just cruising around and enjoying the sunshine."
