Members of several bikie gangs joined members of Destiny Church's Man Up programme and members of the public for a mass haka in Christchurch yesterday.
The Haka for Hope event was organised by Man Up to show respect for those affected by the mass shootings at two Christchurch mosques on March 15 and as a show of unity.
Destiny Church Christchurch senior pastor Derek Tait told the crowd "we are here because love is greater than hate.
"We are here tonight for our Muslim whanau - we are here to tautoko them and show our support.
"Every single person that's here tonight - you matter - our presence makes the difference.
"I rode in with different gangs, different bike clubs, but at the end of the day, none of that matters."
The large crowd gathered first performed the New Zealand National Anthem, before the Tika Tonu haka, with dozens recording the sight on their phones.
