A 48-hour-long IT competition is taking place in Auckland this weekend.
The event has brought people from as far afield as Kuala Lumpur to compete and pits teams of IT specialists, their customers and design students against each other.
The aim is to come up with ideas for new life-changing technology.
More than 300 are taking part in the competition and some have worked through the night to come up with their ideas.
The entries range from ideas to help road workers be aware of speeding cars to supermarket food banks.
The judging takes place today.
