November 2, 2018

TVNZ weather presenter Dan Corbett gives the latest update.

Less than two hundred homes remain without power in the Auckland region this morning.

A Vector spokesperson told 1 NEWS 40 crews have been working since last night to restore power to 14 "pockets" around the city, including parts of Muriwai and an area near Wellsford.

Vector are now working on two pockets, one south of Waimauku, and the other north-west of Pakari.

A Fire and Emergency spokesperson has also told 1 NEWS crews have responded to 17 weather-related call outs between 6.00pm and 10.30pm.

They included mostly things like powerlines being down, trees down and rooves coming off in the Balmoral/Grey Lynn/Epsom area.

Vector crews are continuing their work this morning and hope to have all homes restored by lunchtime.
