Homicide investigation underway in Rotorua after police find the body of a woman at a school overnight

A homicide investigation has been launched in Rotorua after police found the body a woman at a school overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene at St Michael's School in Lisa Crescent at 11:40 last night where they found the body of a 22-year-old woman.

Police are speaking with a number of people who were in the area, and would like to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen anything in the area.

"For example, yelling or arguing – between 8pm and 11.40pm," police said in a media release.
