Homes without power after car hits power pole in Canterbury

Electricity is expected to be restored later this morning.

Some homes in rural Canterbury are without power after a car hit a power pole early this morning.

The incident occurred on Tancreds Road in Lincoln at around 4am.

The outage is affecting houses in the area, as well as in Broadfield and Prebbleton.

Orion says power is expected to be restored by 8am.
